The Media Spot

Good Shepherd Services is a "A social service and youth development agency serving vulnerable New York City children and families". We began working with GSS in the Spring of 2007 in their afterschool program and summer camps held at PS 32 in Gowanus, Brooklyn, conducting collaborative video production workshops with middle school students, and professional development training with staff developed around the key concepts of media literacy. In the fall of 2009 our work with GSS expanded into their PS 15 "Beacon" afterschool program in the Red Hook, Brooklyn for middle and high school students.
