taots.pngTAOTS is a brand new school in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, that is building an innovative curriculum from scratch, based on the Schoolwide Enrichment Model of education.  Starting with K-1, our focus during their first year will be to help their "digital natives" develop age-appropriate technology skills as they develop the ability to communicate using a variety of media.

the generation connection, summer camp, gainesville, fl

tgc_0.png The Generation Connection is a non-profit inter-generational summer camp in Gainesville, Florida. Since its inception in 2002, TMS has served on the board, and has been integrating video production and media literacy into the camp through the TGC Clips of the Day. In 2008 we began working with TGC to expand the camp to new locations -- bringing the TMS video production experience along, of course.

We started working with them in 2007 to establish The PS 130 Online Learning Network, and consult with their technology committee on the development of a school-wide professional development initiative to integrate technology and media education into their curriculum.

fairuse.pngSince September of 2007 we have been contributing to the development of The Code (released November 11, 2008), a coordinated effort by the media literacy community, supported by experts at American University and The Media Education Lab at Temple University to simplify the legalities of using copyrighted materials in an academic setting.
