Rhys was recognized for six years of service on the Board of Directors for the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE) at the 2015 NAMLE Conference in June. During his tenure on the board, Rhys served as chair of the communications committee, secretary on the executive board, and an editorial board member of the Journal of Media Literacy Education.
The relationship with NAMLE has connected The Media Spot to invaluable mentorship and collaboration, and it has been an honor to serve this organization and the cause of expanding the practice of media literacy education in the US.
