The Media Spot helped Ms. Sugarman’s 4th-grade class produce this excellent public service announcement aimed at getting more students to unlock the magic of nonfiction!
The class deconstructed other student and professionally produced PSAs, then worked with Ms. Sugarman on a story. Students worked in small groups on scripting, storyboarding, special effects and editing. There was also a student crew filming the process using an iPad.
Students edited the “making of” video entirely on their own using iMovie on the iPad, and blew Rhys away with the results!
