On September 30, 2014 Rhys Daunic will represent The Media Spot, and NAMLE by leading a webinar on digital literacy for the 2014 PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovators.

Rhys Daunic of The Media Spot was a featured speaker at the Western Pennsylvania Council for Teachers of English 2013 Spring Conference. He presented recommendations for simplifying the blending of essential competencies of media literacy and the common core standards in K-12 curricula.
In March of 2012 I spoke to a class at Columbia Teachers College Graduate School of Education about the potential for project-based learning in K-12 schools through the incorporation of digital media production, and the importance of including media literacy concepts in such efforts.
